Keynote
25 November
Doing Things Right the First Time is the Cheapest Way to Create Good Software!

Most projects starts out with uncomplete requirements, new teams and no test strategy, but with big hopes of creating the “Perfect Software”. That is no problem, Agile methods supports fast development and high Quality, right?

Pablo will talk about what normally happens in a development team and how to avoid it.
He will also go through why this happens (Hero Mentality) and what you have to do to to avoid it.

Workshop Sessions
Half-Day
24 November

Testing is not only about creating test cases, creating test charters, writing Bugs, report tests and re-test until you feel the system is good enough.

A Tester should also be able to create a test design and plan deeper; he must know what to test, what not to test and why. The testing must be deeper for more important functionality, and more shallow for the rest. A tester must also know how to measure Quality and progress – and at last, knowing how to communicate is crucial for a tester.

This workshop will help you to understand and execute your testing looking at the BIG picture focusing on running high quality tests and delivering good quality systems.

Metrics help measuring quality, changes, productivity and much more.

A good Metrics Dashboard can help you reach your goal faster, it can be compared with driving with a GPS, you can not rely completely on it, but it helps most of the time, especially in places you come to for the first time. The tutorial will describe how to use different Metrics for leading your work and your organization to better software.

Pablo will go through different metrics for different methodologies, organizations and ways of developing. We will speak about how to develop the dashboard from start until you get a stable dashboard and you may even see and prevent problems before they occur. One of the most valuable things with Metrics is the way you can put numbers on the need of resources, many examples will be shown.
