He is co-founder and CEO of AIEnsured/testAIng and the founder of Verity Software - a highly respected, niche player in the software testing training space. He is also author of various software testing related certifications such as world’s first AI Testing certification.
Vipul is also the Founder-President of the Indian Testing – ISTQB® Board, and the convener of STeP-IN forum – asia’s largest non-profit testers’ community. He is National Convener of Indic Academy – a not-for-profit trust for preserving, protecting, and promoting all things concerning Indic civilization. He also works actively for mentoring and investing in startups.

Future of software industry was never brighter. With coding agents churning out code, LLMs getting smarter by the day, writing software has never been easier. Of course, the future of the human developers (and testers) could be a different story altogether.
In this talk we will explore the directions of the AI industry, the forces at work and the corresponding trajectory and shape of the human career. Listen to the perspective of the person who predicted DevOps and use of AI even before the word DevOps was crafted and AI third wave started.

This is a workshop on using open-source/open-weight SLMs for testing.
It introduces small language models (SLMs) as a fast, private, and cost-effective alternative to LLMs for many testing tasks. Participants explore where compact models are more useful, from on-device test generation to data-sensitive environments where cloud APIs are off-limits.
The conceptual half covers SLM architectures, benchmarking, and the economics of running models on-premises versus in the cloud. The hands-on portion walks participants through running a local SLM and pointing it at real testing problems such as test-step generation and log summarisation. Participants setup local SLMs and fine-tune prompts for test design and defect triage.
